Engagement ring vs wedding ring — what is the difference?

The engagement ring is the one the proposal is made with — usually a single prominent stone, worn from the engagement onwards. Wedding rings are exchanged at the wedding — simpler bands worn by both. They are two different purchases, at different times, with different budgets: the engagement ring is usually the bigger investment, and wedding bands are chosen together as a couple.

How they are worn together
After the wedding most women wear both rings on the same finger — the wedding band underneath, the engagement ring on top. That is why it pays to think about the future band already when choosing the engagement ring: our designs account for it from the start, and a wedding band can be designed to match the engagement ring even years later.
Which finger, which hand?
In Estonia both rings are mostly worn on the ring finger of the left hand — but the custom varies by family and church, and there is no single "correct" answer. If you are proposing as a surprise, do not worry about the finger: the size can be changed afterwards, and the first resize is free with us within the first year.
Can the engagement ring become the wedding ring?
It can — some couples decide to wear just one ring. The other common path is a set: the engagement ring and a wedding band designed to sit against it. Both are right; what matters is that the decision is yours, not a shop\'s sales plan.
