How to measure ring size at home?

You found some cool ring online? Urge to get it is so heart breaking that you need to buy it right now? And then all those beautiful dreams will collapse because you just don't know your damn ring finger size. So here is some tips how you can measure your finger size at home.

1. (Don't do it at home) visit your local jeweler: Most accurate!

2. Buying for someone else: Borrow one of your partner's rings and slide it down a tapered candle. Measure the circumference of the candle where the ring stops. Use the chart below to determine the correct ring size.

Tips for measuring finger size: Don't measure cold fingers, as this is when fingers are the smallest. The best time to measure a finger is at the end of the day when the finger is the largest. Take at least two measurements for accuracy.

3. Measure it yourself: Wrap a thin strip of paper or piece of string around the base of the finger you want to measure. With a pen, mark the point on the paper or string where it overlaps, forming a circle on the finger. Measure the length of the paper or string using a flat ruler, from the starting point to the pen mark. Then find the matching size in the chart below.
